Callies establishes a new standard in Lightweight Cranks.

Magnum XL lightening profiles result in crankshafts having extremely high strength to weight ratios. Material is carefully removed from non-stressed areas of each shaft to eliminate parasitic weight. The Callies Magnum XL profile is effective at minimizing windage within the crankcase atmosphere. Oil control is improved by not relying on counterweight undercutting to eliminate weight.

All Magnum XL Cranks feature the Callies Perma-Tough heat treatment. This process is a true heat treatment and results in a hardened heat pattern that offers years of service and re-grindability. Each main and rod journal is drilled for weight reduction and throttle response improvement.

MAGNUM XL - SB Chevy
All Magnum XL shafts feature our 4340 forgings and the Callies PERMA-TOUGH heat treatment process, with gun drilled mains and Angalite drilled rod journals. Each shaft is internally balanced to your exact requirements without the use of drill holes. All XL shafts are profiled to produce a unique appearing, extremely strong, yet lightweight crankshaft. Big block posts are available on any XL crank. Magnum XL shafts typically weigh from 34 to 47 pounds, depending on stroke, main and rod journal sizes & bob weight.

Callies LS1 crankshafts are machined from premium 4340 forgings and PERMA-TOUGH heat treated. Rod journals are Angalite drilled and the mains are gun drilled. Our unique counterweight profiling ensures quick throttle response. Our 4.000 stroke shafts with 1850 gram or less bob weight are sold finished balanced with heavy metal and reluctor ring installed. Most XL cranks will typically weigh from 34 to 47 lbs. Your order will be processed specifically to meet your needs.

MAGNUM XL - BB Chevy
Our lightest big block Chevy crankshaft. Magnum XL features our PERMA-TOUGH heat treat process, gun drilled mains and Angalite drilled rod journals. Counterweights are uniquely profiled, producing an extremely strong, lightweight shaft. All Callies Magnum XL shafts are machined from our fully counterweighted 4340 forging and are shipped balanced, with no drill holes, to your exact requirements. These cranks have dual 1/4" keyways. Optional special keyway post hole drilling and flange sizes are available for an additional charge. Callies big block XL cranks usually weigh around 60 pounds depending on stroke.
