High Energy Hydraulic
Roller Lifters
These lifters are for use with the newly designed hydraulic
roller cam series from COMP Cams® or as a performance replacement
for stock hydraulic roller lifters. You must be certain that the
lifter is correct for the type of block used.
All COMP Cams® roller lifters are shipped with grease coating on the
outside shell to prevent rust, and a thick grease in the roller
bearing to keep the needles in place during assembly. Prior to
installing the lifters in an engine, it is important to wash all of
the grease from the lifter and bearing with a suitable solvent or
mineral spirits. After blowing the parts dry, totally immerse the
lifter in fresh 30W engine oil for 30 minutes. This will ENSURE that
the entire roller bearing is filled with oil. After installing the
lifters, try not to let the engine sit for an extended period of
time prior to startup to minimize the amount of oil that drains out
of the bearing.
Please make certain that the lifter you are ordering is correct
for the type of block used
