These flange plates are made from quality aluminum to save weight and to ease the task of matching the plates to the the ports. They are currently available in two thicknesses, 1/2" and 5/8". Special low head socket cap screws are used to attach the plates to the heads, thus allowing for port machining without grinding the attaching bolt heads.
